  • Served as Forest Officer in Gujarat, from 1980 to 1986;
  • Joined Gujarat State Police Service as a Deputy Supt. Of Police on 05/06/1986;
  • Served as Dy. S.P. in Petlad Sub Division, Dist. Anand, Kalol Sub Division, Dist. Mehsana and Mahuva Sub Division, Dist. Bhavnagar;
  • Promoted as a Superintendant Of Police on 05/06/1995 and served in Anand Dist., Ahwa-Dangs Dist., Ahmedabad Rural Dist., Bhavnagar Dist., Western Railways, Rajkot Dist. and Panchmahals Dist.,;
  • Also served as Dy. Dir. Anti Corruption Bureau, Dy. Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Ahmedababd City and Dy. Commissioner of Police (Admin) Vadodara City;
  • Elevated as Dy. Inspector General of Police in 2007 and served as D.I.G.P. Intelligence, DIGP Gandhinagar Range and D.I.G.P. Vadodara Range;
  • Elevated as Inspector General of Police in 2013 and served as Jt. Commissioner of Police Sector-I Ahmedabad City, I.G.P. CID Crime, Gandhinagar and Jt. Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ahmedabad City, simultaneously holding additional charges as I.G.P., Anti-terrorism Squad;
  • Elevated as Addl. Director General of Police in 2018 and served as Spl. Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ahmedabad;
  • Attended several courses at SVP. National Police Academy, Hyderabad like Induction Course in 2000; Vertical Interaction Course in 2004, etc;
  • Attended several seminars on Human Rights, Cyber Crime, etc.;
  • Attended Mid career training program in SVP National Police Academy and Cambridge London (UK);
  • Endorsed with Appreciation and Reward of Rs. 25000, for fighting against Terrorists and rescuing visitors at Akshardham Temple, Gandhinagar attack on 24/09/2002;
  • Investigated and supervised important cases like Godhara Carnage, Girnar Express dacoity, Modasa Bomb blast case, etc.
  • Very successfully detected many undetected murder, dacoity, loot, sensational rape cases;
  • Detected very prestigious case of Narcotic offense and seized narcotics worth Rs. 272 crores in ATS, Ahmedabad;
  • Awarded Presidential Police Medal in the year 2015;
  • Joined as Member of the Gujarat State Human Rights Commission on 07/02/2019.
